Euronext Indices: EDF Included In NextCAC 70 Index

In its meeting today the Euronext Indices Selection Committee has decided to include EDF in the NextCAC 70 following the recent removal of Electrabel in relation to the take-over by Suez.

The following change for the NextCAC 70 index (NC70) will be effective as of Tuesday 3 January 2006:

The NextCAC 70 index is published since 31 January 2005. It consists of the 70 largest and most traded stocks, listed on the official markets of Euronext. In order to be included in the indices a combined ranking of free float market capitalisation and annual turnover is made based on the data as of end July each year. The final selection is made by the Euronext Indices Selection Committee, which is appointed out of members of the independent Euronext Indices Steering Committee. Euronext Indices manages the index under the supervision of the Euronext Indices Steering Committee.
