Euronext Amsterdam: Interbrew And CNP Assurances In Euronext 100

1. Interbrew replaces Sommer Allibert in Next 150 as of 15 March 2001

Following the official result of the takeover bid by both Faurecia and SIT for the French company Sommer Allibert, Sommer Allibert will be deleted from the Next 150 index with effect from 15 March 2001, in accordance with rule 6.3.3 of the index ground rules.

The highest ranking non-constituent by market capitalisation as at the close of business 28 February 2001, replaces Sommer Allibert in the Next 150 Index. Following ranking analysis, the Belgium company Interbrew will enter the Next 150 Index effective 15 March 2001.

2. As a result of the quarterly review Interbrew will enter the Euronext 100 on 2 April 2001

As a result of the quarterly review of 28 February 2001 Interbrew (being the highest non-constituent of the Euronext 100 by market capitalisation) will enter the Euronext 100 on Monday 2 April 2001.

Results of the quarterly review of the Euronext 100 index and Next 150 index

As a result of the quarterly review of 28 February 2001 the following changes will be effective as of Monday 2 April 2001.

Interbrew and CNP Assurances will enter the Euronext 100 index. Randstad and Highwave Optical will be deleted from the Euronext 100 index.

The following stocks will enter the Next 150 index: Randstad, Highwave Optical, Louvre, Studio Canal, Moulinex, Seche Environnem, Bail-Invest, Ubizen, OPG Groep, Heijmans and Van Melle.

(NB. If Van Melle is taken over by Perfetti (IT.) before 2 April 2001 then Metrologic Group will enter the Next 150 index.)

The following stocks will be deleted from the Next 150 index: Interbrew, Seita, Eramet, Eiffage, Hal Trust, Bongrain, Genesys, Genset, Real Software, Umanis and Infosource.
