Despite the difficult market conditions, Euronext NV achieves good revenue growth for the year 2002, with total revenues of 996.5 million Euros, up year on year by 6.4 %. Revenues are in line with the forecast given by the company. This strong performance is due to ongoing strong volumes both in cash and derivatives markets. This achievement has to be highlighted: as Euronext didn't increase its fees. On the contrary, it suppressed some technical fees and granted rebates linked to cash migration, amounting to 10.2 million euros.
This represents important cost savings for clients. Euronext NV's 4 th quarter revenues amount to o251.99 mio, a slight increase compared to the o249.99 mio (pro
forma) realised during the same period in 2001.
