Euroclear announced today that Marc Antoine Authemanwill succeed Sir Nigel Wicks upon his retirement as Chairman of both the Euroclear plc and Euroclear SA/NV Boards on 1 January 2013. Sir Nigel Wicks became Chairman of the Boards in August 2006 after serving as Deputy Chairman since 2002. Both Chairman positions are non-executive. Mr Autheman will become Deputy Chairman of both Euroclear Boards immediately, a position that he shares with Jean-Jacques Verdickt.
Mr Autheman’s concise biography is set out below. Mr Autheman’s appointment was made following an extensive search conducted by a specially constituted Search Committee of Board Members led by Mr Verdickt.
