David Krell, Chairman of ISE and a member of the Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse AG, and Jürg Spillmann, member of the Supervisory Board of Eurex Frankfurt AG and member of the Board of Directors of Eurex Zürich AG, have been inducted into the Futures Industry Association (FIA) Hall of Fame at the yearly FIA Boca derivatives conference. This honor recognizes a lifetime of outstanding contributions of members of the futures and options community.
Andreas Preuss, CEO of Eurex and Deputy CEO of Deutsche Börse AG, said: “My sincere congratulations to both David and Jürg on this very well-deserved honor. This acknowledgment celebrates the pioneers in the derivatives markets who have truly transformed the industry, and it is fitting that FIA has bestowed it upon these individuals who are both true revolutionaries in the move to electronic trading.”
Gary Katz, President and CEO of ISE and an Executive Board member of Eurex, said: “The markets that we operate today would not be as efficient, transparent or technologically-advanced without the contributions of David and Jürg. In the US options industry, David has always been a step ahead, driving the industry to advance and to innovate. Likewise, Jürg is a visionary technologist whose impact has been extensive on both European and US markets alike.”
