Eurex: No Adjustment Of The Options On Mannesmann-Shares

The European derivatives market Eurex has decided not to adjust the options on Mannesmann shares due to a possible inequality towards the holders of Mannesmann options regarding the British Stamp Duty and the Stamp Duty Reserved Tax for Vodafone shares, as well as a possible inequality in the delivery of Vodafone shares in Germany. In order to maintain orderly trading conditions, Eurex reserves the future right to order settlement in cash rather than by physical delivery upon the exercise of Mannesmann shares. If the quotation of Mannesmann shares traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange is discontinued, Eurex will discontinue trading in options on Mannesmann shares.
