Eurex Leads Europe's Derivatives Exchanges In 1998.

The German-Swiss Eurex exchange announced that it became Europe's top futures exchange last year after 1998 trading volumes climbed 63 percent to a record of 248.22 million contracts. Eurex, formed in 1998 through a merger of Germany's Deutsche Terminboerse AG (DTB) and its Swiss counterpart SOFFEX, said combined DTB and SOFFEX volume in 1997 was 152.29 million contracts.
