EU Savers Step Up Their Influence In European Financial Services Policy Making

Christiane Hölz, a senior executive at Better Finance’s German member organisation DSW, was elected Vice-Chair of the "Securities and Markets Stakeholder Group" of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).

Today Better Finance members are vice-chairing three of the four Stakeholder Groups of the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) with:

• Alin Iacob (AURSF, Romania) as the Vice-Chair of the European Banking Authority's (EBA) Banking Stakeholder Group,
• and Jean Berthon (FAIDER, France) as the Vice-Chair of the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority's (EIOPA) Insurance & Reinsurance Stakeholder Group.

Guillaume Prache, Managing director of Better Finance, is an active member of the 4th one (Occupational Pensions) since 2013.

This is a further recognition of the prominent role played by the European Federation of Investors and Financial Services Users, Better Finance, in representing the interests of European savers and individual investors in European financial services policy making.
