The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published today a consultation paper on the draft Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) on European Electronic Access Point (EEAP). This consultation paper sets out ESMA’s proposals for technical requirements regarding the access to regulated information at Union level.
The CP is composed of five sections corresponding to the following five draft RTSs, as required by article 22 (1) of the Transparency Directive; four of the RTSs are directed to OAMs and one is directed to ESMA:
a. RTS on Search for regulated information (directed to ESMA)
b. RTS on technologies used by OAMs
c. RTS on the unique identifier used by OAMs
d. RTS on the common format for the delivery of regulated information by OAMs
e. RTS on the common classification of regulated information by OAMs.
The consultation runs until 30 March 2015. ESMA is required to submit the draft RTSs to the European Commission by 27 November 2015 for endorsement.
