Eight Straight Days Of Eris Open Interest Records

Eris Exchange is pleased to highlight a recent string of record-setting activity in Eris Swap Futures, driven by the onboarding of new end user clients and increased activity from existing participants.

Since the beginning of August, open interest (OI) in Eris Standards Swap Futures has climbed to new highs on 12 of the 15 business days. At close of business on Monday, August 21, Eris Standards OI stood at 166,794 contracts, representing more than 65% growth in the past 18 months.

Concurrently, overall OI, including both Eris Standards and Eris Flexes, now stands at 194,247 contracts after eight straight days of new highs. We are excited by this ongoing growth and will keep you posted as we achieve new milestones.

Eris Swap Futures order book liquidity has recently been averaging ~$4bn notional, 3x January 2016 levels
Best bid/best ask liquidity is now 100%-200% of the average reported OTC swap trade depending on tenor
Bid/ask width in Eris 5Y and 10Y contracts is now ≤0.4 bps ~70% of time, and ≤0.5bps >95% of the time
