Eight New Stock Options On The Montreal Exchange - First Step Leading To The Full Transfer Of All TSE Options To The Montreal Exchange On March 27th

The first step leading to the full transfer of stock options from the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE) to the Montreal Exchange began today, with the transfer of eight new stock options to the Montreal Exchange. As of March 27th, all stock options currently traded on the TSE will be transferred to the Montreal Exchange (39 stock options and 18 Long Term Equity Options (LEAPS®). This transfer is in line with the restructuring agreement reached by Canadian Exchanges on March 15, 1999.

With the addition of these eight options classes (six equity options and two Long Term Equity Options LEAPS®), a total of 84 options classes now trade on the Montreal Exchange.
