According to a report issued by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the Egyptian government reforms could pave the way towards increased foreign direct investment (FDI). The report also affirmed that the newly created Ministry of Investment and its progressive new management team are "injecting additional dynamism" into investment-related policies and institutions, and that the government has become more receptive to investor concerns and is moving fast to eliminate all impediments hindering investments. Moreover, the UNCTAD report highly praised the fundamental change in the relationship between the public and private sectors which would increase confidence in the government policies and would enable private investment to flourish in Egypt.
