Dr. Mohamed Farid, Executive Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), participated in the roundtable discussion of a master's degree thesis entitle "Assessing the relationship between corporate social responsibility and its financial performance, a practical study on the Egyptian Corporate Social Responsibility Index (ESG Index)”, in Faculty of Economics and Political Science.
The thesis discussed the impact of change in a corporate’s social responsibility efforts on their financial performance, as well as how to advance the efforts of different economic entities towards developing their programs seeking to enhance social responsibility.
Dr. Farid expressed his appreciation for the invitation extended to him from Dr. Nagwa Samak, Head of Economic Department, Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University. He added "Participating in this event is a result of a mutual keenness to bridge the gap between academic and practical approaches, to benefit from the practical implementations in a way that enhances academic studies and eventually services our country's development.”
