As a result of the collaborative efforts of The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) and the brokerage firms, EGX members, and all other financial institutions in the capital market, EGX received 3 awards at the annual conference of the Arab Federation of Capital Markets (AFCM) in the categories:
1- Best Arab stock exchange in terms of annual growth of market capitalization.
2- Best Arab stock exchange in terms of the number of new investors (clients).
3- Best Arab stock exchange in terms of market capitalization turnover.
Ahmed El-Sheikh, EGX’s Executive Chairman, received the awards at a ceremony held by AFCM as part of its annual conference - April 2024.
El-Sheikh stated that these awards reflect EGX’s robust and exceptional performance in 2023 and its ability to overcome the challenges it faced. He added: “I express my gratitude to all EGX employees, the brokerage firms, and all capital market participants for their diligent efforts to elevating EGX in the position it deserves. I also extend my appreciation to all Egyptian, regional and international clients and investors for their confidence in the Egyptian market.”
