The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) participated in a panel discussion titled "Digital Economy and Green Economy" during Digital and Financial Inclusion Summit. The summit was organized by Digital Inclusion Unit of the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the Olympic Center in Maadi.
During the event Mr. Mohamed Selim, Head of Research at EGX, and Mr. Mohamed El Sherif, Head of Promotion at EGX, delivered a lecture on the topics.
Mr. Ahmed El-Sheikh, Executive Chairman of EGX, recently participated in the inaugural session on youth digital future. The session centered around the crucial role of the youth demographic in Egypt, given that they constitute the largest age group in the country. However, despite their significant presence in society, their representation among investor groups doesn’t match theirs in the society. During the session, Mr. El-Sheikh emphasized the importance of introducing key concepts such as financial and digital inclusion, cumulative savings, and fundamental knowledge of the stock market to youth.
The Digital Inclusion Unit at Ministry of Youth and Sports is dedicated to promoting digital inclusion strategies and envisioning a comprehensive digital future for all youth. In pursuit of this goal, the unit has organized Youth Digital and Financial Inclusion Summit, which serves as a platform for gathering young individuals to discuss pertinent topics related to digital and financial inclusion.
The summit aims to address the challenges and opportunities arising from the rapid advancements and transformations in technology and global markets.2
