As a continuation of a series of activities of The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) with the Ministry of Immigration to stimulate foreign investments in EGX, the ministry organized a meeting with Leila Pence, President of Pence Wealth Management. Mrs Pence is a well-recognized figure in Forbes magazine as the best-in-state wealth advisor and one of the pioneering women in “Egypt Can” Conference. The meeting was held at EGX’s premise in the presence of representatives from Pence Wealth Management and top EGX management.
Dr. Mohammed Farid, Executive Chairman of EGX, met with the delegation of Pence Wealth, managing investments of US$2.2 bn, to discuss means of increasing investments to the Egyptian capital market. Dr. Farid reviewed efforts exerted to simplify Egyptians living abroad investments in their home land. He also welcomed cooperation to attract more foreign investments. The meeting tackled other points of importance to both sides, namely; e-trading, brokerage firms certification (domestic and international), insurance systems, and inflation rate.
Mrs. Pence presented Pence Wealth Management’s activities and experience in the American financial market. She highlighted key elements to stimulate individual investments in the Egyptian capital market. She also expressed her appreciation for this meeting and for the discussions that reflected the developments done in line with the Egyptian economy reform program, stressing that EGX is one of the most important financial markets in the world and enjoys great international praise.
