Dr. Islam Azzam, Executive Chairman of The Egyptian Exchange (EGX), participated in the official opening of the 57th Cairo International Book Fair 2026, which commenced today at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo. The event was held under the patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and attended by H.E. the Prime Minister, H.E. Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hano, Minister of Culture, alongside a distinguished gathering of ministers, ambassadors, and prominent local and international cultural delegations.
EGX Chairman emphasized that EGX’s participation in the Cairo International Book Fair reflects its ongoing commitment to advancing financial literacy and investment awareness, particularly among youth. This initiative aims to foster a new generation with a stronger understanding of the fundamentals of saving and investing, thereby reinforcing the role of the capital market in supporting sustainable economic development.
Dr. Azzam’s participation coincided with the presence of senior representatives from leading Egyptian institutions at this landmark cultural event, which attracted broad coverage from Arab and international media and is widely recognized as one of the most prominent intellectual and cultural gatherings in the region.
