EGX Chairman Casts His Vote In The Presidential Elections

Ahmed El-Sheikh, Chairman of The Egyptian Exchange (EGX), votes in the presidential elections today, Sunday, December 10, 2023.

 

El-Sheikh stressed the importance of participating in the presidential elections as it is considered the pinnacle of the democratic system in Egypt targeting to build a modern national state. He added: Participating in the elections is a national duty, and the success of the electoral process is a message to the world reflecting the determination of Egyptians to participate effectively in constitutional entitlements.

He added that EGX continues to support the stock market ecosystem by encouraging companies to list which helps them raise the necessary funds for expansion. Also, EGX works to improve the levels and quality of disclosure, transparency and corporate governance while adhering to the principles of sustainable finance and social responsibility in order to improve the national economic growth.
