The European Energy Exchange (EEX) has won Energy Risk’s‘Exchange of the Year’ Award. Each year, the Energy Risk magazine rewards excellence in a number of energy business disciplines.
In terms of sales and profit, 2011 was another record year for EEX. A considerable push in its natural gas markets, awards as EUA auctioning platform by several European countries, news office openings in London and Brussels, on-going product launches to meet market demand as well as the extended data coverage on the platform “Transparency in Energy Markets” are some of the factors, according to Energy Risk, which merit EEX to be awarded ‘Exchange of the Year’.
Peter Reitz, Chief Executive Officer of EEX, says: “We are delighted to be awarded with the prestigious title of Energy Exchange of the Year at this year’s Energy Risk Awards. To receive this recognition of our work means a big motivation for us to continuously improve the offer for our clients.”
The Energy Risk Europe Awards will take place on 13 June 2012 in London.
