The Supervisory Board of the European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) has confirmed Peter Reitz and Iris Weidinger in their respective positions as members of the Management Board and extended their terms of office by five years, ahead of the schedule.
At its meeting on 19 October 2013, the Supervisory Board adopted the resolution to reappoint Peter Reitz, who joined the EEX Management Board in August 2011, in the role of Chief Executive Officer, with a term of office lasting until July 2019.
Furthermore, Iris Weidinger was also reappointed as the Chief Financial Officer on the Management Board, with a term of office lasting until August 2019. Iris Weidinger, who joined the company in 2000, was appointed a member of the Management Board for the first time in August 2008.
“This reappointment for another five-year term testifies to our confidence in the management team and the wish for continuity in the company’s strategy and management“, explains Dr. Jürgen Kroneberg, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
In addition, both Peter Reitz and Iris Weidinger will undertake the same functions withinEuropean Commodity Clearing AG (ECC) until 2019. This confirmation and extension of their terms of office was adopted by the ECC Supervisory Board whose meeting was held on the same day.
