EEX: Schweizerische Bundesbahnen SBB Discloses Insider Information On Power Generation And Power Storage

EEX welcomes Schweizerische Bundesbahnen SBB as 8th data provider in Switzerland. Schweizerische Bundesbahnen SBB will begin to provide generation data to the platform “Transparency in Energy Markets“ on 20/04/2016.

Within the field of power generation, Schweizerische Bundesbahnen SBB publishes data on the installed capacity, the planned and actual production and the non-usability of power generation units with a volume of 547 MW.

In the framework of power storage, data on the pumping capacity, the energy capacity, the filling level as well as the non-usability of the pump is published. The storage units reported provide a maximum working capacity of 87 GWh.

This means the regular publication of insider information on the capacity, use and availability of facilities for power generation and storage according to Art. 4 Para. 1 REMIT will be effected via the EEX transparency platform.
