EEX Publishes Revised 2026 Auction Calendar And 2027 EUA Auction Calendar

The European Energy Exchange (EEX), in coordination with the European Commission, the EU Member States and the EEA EFTA States, has published the revised 2026 and the new 2027 auction calendars for the common auction platform (CAP3/CAP4), as well as, in coordination with the competent authorities of Germany (DE), Poland (PL) and the United Kingdom on behalf of Northern Ireland (NI), the revised 2026 and the new 2027 auction calendars for their respective auction platforms.

The 2026 auction calendar has been adjusted for the period from September to December 2026 following the operation of the Market Stability Reserve (MSR). As a result, auction volumes on the Common Auction Platform as well as for Germany and Poland have been revised. All other auction details remain unchanged.

The revised auction volumes from September to December 2026 will be as follows:

In addition, EEX has published the 2027 auction calendar for the auctioning of EU allowances (EUA), providing market participants with an early overview of auction volumes for the coming year. The auction volumes for September to December 2027 are preliminary and may be subject to further adjustments.

The auction volumes from September to December 2027 are preliminary and may be subject to adjustments.

In addition, EEX will conduct one EUA auction on behalf of Northern Ireland on 13 October 2027 with a preliminary volume of 896,500 EUA.

Clearing and settlement of all emission allowances are conducted by the European Commodity Clearing (ECC).
