In the context of the opening of its new Brussels office, the European Energy Exchange presented the “EEX Excellence Award” for outstanding academic achievements for the first time.
The winners are the students Kevin Münch (Institute of Power Systems and Power Economics/IAEW, RWTH Aachen University), Andreas Schaich (Institute of Energy Economics/ EWI, University of Cologne) and Remziye Yilmaz (Institut Européen des Hautes Etudes Internationales/IEHEI, Nice) who focus on technical, economic and social challenges on the energy market in their theses. The “EEX Excellence Award” was presented to the winners on 24 January in the framework of the evening event in Brussels.
“Today, we are seeing that the diverse aspects of energy trading are covered intensively at the universities. With the “EEX Excellence Award” we want to further promote this development”, explains Iris Weidinger, Chief Financial Officer, who is also in charge of human resources on the Executive Board of EEX.
The European Energy Exchange (EEX) is the leading European energy exchange. It develops, operates and connects secure, liquid and transparent markets for energy and related products on which power, natural gas, CO2 emission allowances and coal are traded.
