EEX Launches Physical Fulfilment For Swiss Week And Month Power Futures On 28 November

As of 28^th November 2016, the European Energy Exchange (EEX) will offer physical fulfilment for Swiss Week and Month Power Futures in cooperation with EPEX SPOT. With this step, EEX extends its current offering for physical fulfilment for German and French Power.

Products and Expiries

According to the following product overview, trading participants can register the upcoming delivery week and month for physical fulfilment. If physical fulfilment is desired, submission deadline for the respective week future is every Friday at 12:00 pm CET. Submission deadline for month future is two business days before first delivery day at 4:00 pm CET.

Prerequisite

In order to make use of the physical fulfilment, you need to request a physical ETS portfolio at EPEX SPOT similar to physical fulfilment of German and French power contracts.

*Please note that the EPEX SPOT fee for this service will be waived in 2016 and 2017. As of 2018, a reduced fee will apply. The reduced fee will correspond to half the regular EPEX SPOT fee for day-ahead transactions. The current pricelists of EEX, ECC and EPEX Spot are legally binding.
