This year, for the fourth year in succession, the European Energy Exchange (EEX) is inviting applications for the EEX Excellence Award for outstanding research papers. Subject to the precondition that the research paper or final thesis was completed in the second half of 2013 or in 2014, students and graduates are invited to submit their applications by 30 September 2014. Awards will be given for up to five theses or scientific research papers.
EEX focuses, in particular, on research papers or final theses that deal with current technical, economic or political questions in the fields of energy and exchange trading.
“With the Excellence Award we support young people who approach technical, economic, political and social questions of energy trading from a scientific perspective”, explains Iris Weidinger, Chief Financial Officer of EEX. “In this context, we are particularly pleased that the applications are becoming increasingly international. Last year, graduates from eight countries submitted applications for the Excellence Award.”
