This year, the European Energy Exchange (EEX) will present the EEX Excellence Award for outstanding research papers for the second time. In the context of a European call for applications, students and graduates can submit their applications until 10 September 2012.
EEX focuses, in particular, on research papers or final theses that deal with current technical, economic or political questions in the fields of energy and exchange trading. Awards will be given for up to five theses or scientific research papers that are convincing on account of their creative approach and that provide new solutions to the problem cited, in addition to their containing an "in-depth" discussion.
“Following the positive feedback in the previous year, we are pleased to present the award for the second time. The turnaround in the energy sector is only one example of the challenges and subjects that we deal with. With this award we want to further promote the scientific examination of the technical, economic and social aspects of energy trading”, says Iris Weidinger, Chief Financial Officer of EEX.
