ECC Manager Albert Moser To Take Over Chair Of Power Systems And Power Economics At RWTH Aachen University

Dr.-Ing. Albert Moser, General Representative and Director Clearing & Settlement of European Commodity Clearing AG (ECC), will assume the chair at the Institute of Power Systems and Power Economics at the Rhenish- Westphalian Technical University Aachen (RWTH Aachen) with effect from 1st March 2009. He will succeed Univ.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Hans-Jürgen Haubrich.

“With Albert Moser’s resignation we lose a pioneer who has accompanied the company from its infancy and who has made a decisive contribution to the position which EEX holds in European energy trading today“, Dr. Hans-Bernd Menzel, Chief Executive Officer of EEX AG and ECC AG, acknowledges Albert Moser’s achievements. Initially, the now 43-year old Albert Moser, who holds the degree of a doctor of engineering, headed product development at EEX and developed clearing and settlement at the EEX subsidiary ECC after its establishment in 2006. From 1986 until 1991, Albert Moser studied electrical engineering in Aachen. Subsequently, he worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Power Systems and Power Economics in Aachen until 1997. After that, he worked for Siemens AG in Nuremberg and Minneapolis, USA until the year 2000.

Following Albert Moser’s resignation, Jörg Schenderlein will assume operative management of clearing and settlement.
