The European Commission (EC) has extended the deadline within which ESMA should deliver its draft technical standards on the cross-border application of EMIR (Art. 4(4) and 11(14)) to 15 November 2013.
The extension was granted (Ref. DG Markt MJ/acg (2013) 3265823) in order to give ESMA more time to fully analyse and take account of the responses received to its public consultation which closed on 16 September. The full EC letter is available on ESMA's website.
The original delivery deadline was 25 September 2013.
