Duco, a leading SaaS provider of AI-powered operational data automation, reported a 40% year-over-year decrease in its ESG report for the financial year 2025.
The report shows Duco's progress towards becoming carbon neutral by 2027 by embedding sustainability across all aspects of operations – from cloud infrastructure to office spaces and community initiatives. Duco also reduced Scope 3 (value chain) emissions for its clients, which include some of the largest financial institutions in the world.
Infrastructure innovation drives emission cuts
Smart cloud infrastructure drove these reductions: migrating databases to more efficient AWS processors, optimising storage, and rightsizing computing resources. The reductions follow a significant reduction in emissions from reconciliations in 2024. These emissions dropped by 60% to 80% achieved by moving from private cloud to AWS hosting.
Duco also relocated its Antwerp office to a facility powered by 100% renewable energy, while travel emissions decreased year-on-year. Duco offsets all residual emissions.
Social fairness and inclusion
Duco strengthened its social commitments by advancing diversity, inclusion, and fairness. The company rolled out Lattice, a new HR platform designed to further ensure hiring, promotion, and compensation processes are structured, fair, and free from bias.
An enhanced career development framework enables clearer pathways and leadership training to help every team member thrive, while Duco’s apprenticeship programme with LTSB continues to empower young adults from under-represented backgrounds. The company works with local communities through fundraising for charities and environmental activities including clean-ups and tree planting.
Governance framework
Duco has reinforced its governance framework by aligning with international standards, embedding robust compliance practices, and enhancing transparency in how the company manages sustainability, ethics, and risk.
Duco reviewed 100% of critical vendors against its internal code of conduct, implemented third-party whistleblowing software, and became a signatory to the UN Global Compact Standards.
Danielle Price, CFO, Duco said: "Innovation is at the heart of what we do at Duco – solving complex problems to make a difference. Our ESG effort follows the same relentless drive for continual improvement that governs our work for clients. This means real change and real transformation across every level and aspect of the organisation."
