The Dubai Financial Market hosted a special ceremony on Wednesday, December 1st 2010 to celebrate the 39th national day of the United Arab Emirates. The ceremony reflected the rich heritage of the UAE and attracted a large number of employees, brokers and investors.
Held under the slogan “Long Live UAE”, the ceremony started with the play of the UAE national anthem prior to the commencement of the trading session. Decorated with the UAE flags, the DFM trading floor hosted a traditional “Majlis”, Additionally, UAE traditional food was served to DFM employees, brokers and investors.
Commenting on this, Essa Kazim, Managing Director and CEO of DFM said: “As we honor the 39th national day of the UAE, we would like to congratulate their highnesses, the rulers of the emirates and the people of the UAE. This occasion is treasured in our hearts as it marks the day when the founding fathers of our country joined hands and united efforts and resources for the greater good and welfare of the UAE people. As we celebrate this gracious occasion we remember with pride and affection the valuable efforts of the founding fathers who cemented the foundations of our federation. Meanwhile, we extend our gratitude to their highnesses, the rulers of the emirates for following the steps of the founding fathers”.
