Dubai Financial Market (DFM) announced the successful conclusion of its Summer Training Programme 2011 in which 20 UAE students representing various schools and universities were trained over a 4 week period ending Thursday, 28th July 2011, for 6 hours per day from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm.
Prizes and certificates of appreciation were distributed during the closing ceremony in the presence of Tayeba Abdul Mannan, Assistant Vice President - Head of Human Resources, along with other representatives of DFM’s senior management. Every trainee received a student allowance of 1500-2000 AED, in addition to a certificate of participation. The top 3 students were granted an IPAD, Mini laptop and IPOD respectively in appreciation of their outstanding performance
The trainees were placed within various departments and in some brokerage firms. Upon the conclusion of the Summer Training Programme, trainees expressed their appreciation of the high level of valuable skills and experience gained through the course of this programme, which deepened their knowledge of financial markets and DFM’s various divisions and departments.

The 2011 training programme has been an outstanding success with a high level of enthusiasm and interaction from the trainees. Undoubtedly, the phenomenal success of the programme in achieving its objectives over the years has played a major role in the continuation and development of this programme, which reflects DFM’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and developing UAE human resources”.
