Dresdner Kleinwort, the investment bank of Dresdner Bank AG, is pleased to announce the appointment of Gianluca Garbi as Managing Director and Head of Global Public Sector, a newly created role, effective today.
Gianluca is responsible for coordinating the existing activities of the bank in the public sector space and taking it to the next level across all the product areas and regions. He will be based in London and will report both to Bertrand Pinel, Head of Global Finance and Stefan Guetter, Head of Global Distribution, members of Dresdner Kleinwort’s Executive Committee.
Before joining Dresdner Kleinwort Gianluca was Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of MTS S.p.A and EuroMTS, the leading European fixed income exchange, since its privatisation in 1998. He was responsible for the operations of the MTS S.p.A and the entire group of MTS companies. Prior to this he was a member of the Council of Economic Advisers at the Italian Ministry of Economy. He also held senior positions at Banque Paribas and JP Morgan.
