The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht – BaFin) is expanding its investigation into the website doublecapitals.com. It has become known that NordHiTech LTD, domiciled in Graz, Austria, presents itself to customers as the entity responsible for operating the website.
There is no entry for a company of this name in the Austrian Business Register. NordHiTech LTD holds no authorisation to provide financial or investment services in Germany.
BaFin already informed the public on 15 November 2023 that it had opened an investigation into the operator of the website doublecapitals.com.
Anyone providing financial or investment services in Germany may do so only with authorisation from BaFin.
However, some companies offer these services without the necessary authorisation. Information on whether a particular company has been granted authorisation by BaFin can be found in BaFin’s database of companies.
The information provided by BaFin is based on section 37 (4) of the German Banking Act (Kreditwesengesetz – KWG).
