For the second time this year, DMS Offshore Investment Services (DMS), the world's largest fund governance firm, has been recognized for the quality of its regulatory advisory services by the readers of Hedgeweek, the influential international hedge funds magazine.
DMS was awarded "Best Offshore Regulatory Advisory Firm" in the 2014 Hedgeweek U.S. Awards at a ceremony held in New York City on Thursday, May 29. DMS received a similar honor on February 28 in London, when it was named Best Offshore Regulatory Advisory Firm in Hedgeweek's Global 2014 awards.
For both awards, DMS was selected through a poll of the magazine's readers and the firm had no part in soliciting the award. More than 1,300 votes were cast by Hedgeweek's U.S.-based readers for this latest award, the highest number to do so, Hedgeweek noted.
Kathleen Celoria, Executive Director of DMS, who is based in the firm's New York office, accepted the award.
"We are once again thrilled at this extraordinary recognition by the readers of Hedgeweek, and by extension, the hedge fund industry," stated DMS Chief Executive Officer Anne Storie. "DMS has been steadily building its operations in the U.S.A. with ever-improving fund governance services that offer outstanding directors and tested and proven risk management and transparency reporting solutions. It is particularly gratifying that our clients and the industry are pleased with the work we do."
The annual Hedgeweek Global and Hedgeweek U.S.A. Awards recognize excellence among hedge fund managers and service providers around the world. The awards are based on a 'peer review system' in which readers elect a 'best in class' in a series of categories via an online survey. In each category, the firms with the most votes at the end of the voting period are subject to a final review by Hedgeweek's senior editorial team.
