Today, OSE imposed the discipline on Rakuten Securities, Inc. (hereinafter written as the firm) pursuant to Article 42(1)(ix) of the Regulations for Transaction Participants as follows.

Reason for the Discipline
The firm’s act is acknowledged to “breach the limitation on withdrawing of customer margin for margin transactions and make an error in method of calculation of deposited margin for margin transactions” as defined in Article 7(1) and 8 of the Cabinet Office Ordinance on Transaction and Security Deposits prescribed in Article 161-2 of the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act and Article 44(1) and 45 of the Brokerage Agreement Standers.
