Dubai Financial Market (DFM) is showcasing an all-inclusive array of state-of-the-art new electronic services and smart phone applications during its participation in GITEX 2014, the Information technology exhibition scheduled from 12 - 16 October 2014 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. DFM’s stand will be located at the Dubai Smart Government pavilion (S2-A21), Sheikh Saeed Hall. Throughout the exhibition, DFM will display key features of its ambitious project to transform into the “Smart Borse”. The project is currently underway in line with the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.
DFM actively endeavors to embed various electronic services that have been developed recently including smart phone applications and electronic services on its website, within a constantly upgraded interactive and smart platform. Key strategic goals of the Smart Borse are to develop smart solutions, fast track processes, build strategic networks and centralize research and development, leading to the introduction of smart solutions.
Senior DFM officials and specialists will be present throughout the show to enlighten visitors on the new services and enduring development plans.
At GITEX 2014, DFM will introduce a demo version of its new smart phone application which enables participants to track their stock portfolio including trade volumes and values, access charts related to portfolio performance in general as well access the latest updates on price movements, indices, disclosures and news. Users can receive personalized updates and information. The guide section also includes various informative guides covering the market products and services, and enables users to swiftly connect with the market and securely submit their feedback. Additionally, DFM will introduce the beta version of its new website which enables investors to create their multiple real-time Market Watch lists and keep track of favorite stocks as well as market depth to make well informed investment decisions.
Moreover, the DFM will display its smart IPO platform (eIPO) which has been successfully utilized during the recent IPOs of Marka and Emaar Malls. The platform, which is directly linked with receiving banks, enables investors to participate in IPOs and pay the required amounts through ATMs, online banking, and the DFM iVESTOR card in an effective, easy and highly secured way. The smart platform also enables the swift refund of excess money, allotment and listing within a few days of the IPO conclusion.
The DFM will also showcase its AGM registration kiosk, a DFM innovative service offered to listed companies and investors and represents an efficient solution to organize AGMs through easy registration of shareholders, voting, and board elections. It also ensures voting accuracy and generates statistical reports during the AGM.
