Dubai Financial Market (DFM) hosted a special ceremony on Monday, 1st December 2014 to celebrate the 43rd National Day of the United Arab Emirates, as employees headed by His Excellency Essa Kazim, Chairman of DFM, as well as brokers and investors gathered at the DFM trading floor to honor the occasion.
The UAE flag decorated the DFM offices and trading floor and the trading session commenced with the playing of the UAE national anthem. The ceremony included a heritage competition and traditional shows as well as honoring the winners of “The Happiest Nation”competition, launched during the Flag Day celebration, which gave DFM employees the opportunity to illustrate “The Happiest Nation” concept through their photos and words.
H.E. Essa Kazim said: “As we honor the 43rd National Day of the UAE, we would like to congratulate their Highnesses, the Rulers of the Emirates and the people of the UAE. We treasure this occasion in our hearts as it marks the day when the founding fathers of our country joined hands and united efforts and resources for the greater good and welfare of the UAE people. This gracious occasion represents a sizable opportunity to reaffirm our firm allegiance to our beloved country and wise leadership. We remember with pride and affection the valuable efforts of the founding fathers who cemented the foundations of our federation led by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. We extend our gratefulness to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the Rulers of the Emirates for following the steps of the founding fathers in transforming our country into a nation that is highly admired and respected all over the world.”
