On May 24, the SZSE Global Investors Conference 2022 was officially opened. The Conference was held online. Vice Chairman Fang Xinghai of CSRC, President & CEO Sha Yan of SZSE, and Zeng Pai, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, Head of the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen (hereinafter referred to as the “Shenzhen Qianhai Authority”) and Party Secretary of the Nanshan District Committee, addressed the opening ceremony via video link.
Themed by “Sharing High-quality Development and Promoting High-standard Two-way Opening-up”, the Conference will last four days and be attended by about 200 industry experts and domestic and overseas institutional investor representatives. During the Conference, officials of the Shenzhen Local Financial Supervision Authority and the Shenzhen Qianhai Authority, experts from institutions of the industry including CITIC Securities and China International Capital Corporation Limited, and heads of domestic and overseas mainstream institutional investors such as ChinaAMC, CSOP, Fidelity International, BlackRock, MSCI and JPMorgan Asset Management gave special-topic speeches and had roundtable discussions facing international investors. Relevant topics included institutional opening-up of capital markets, serving the development of real economy, improving the interconnection mechanism, supporting low-carbon and sustainable development, serving the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area and the pilot demonstration zone of socialism with Chinese characteristics. Guests attending the Conference probed into allocation of domestic quality assets, long-term investment in the Chinese market, and support for economic innovation and transformation.
SZSE has held global investor service activities for three years straight. On the basis of its previous sessions, this year’s Global Investors Conference targets at meeting the information needs of medium- and long-term investors. The joint investment promotion session by SZSE, SSE and BSE and the special session for visiting listed companies online for overseas investors were arranged, in an effort to further improve the breadth and depth of overseas investors’ knowledge about and participation into the Chinese capital market.
Next, under the unified leadership of CSRC, SZSE will explore and optimize the mechanisms and channels for the opening-up of the capital market, improve the international investor service system, and facilitate high-standard two-way opening-up of the capital market. Meanwhile, we will actively create a market environment that is more attractive to medium- and long-term funds, strive to build a quality innovation capital center and world-class exchange, and better serve the formation of the new development pattern and high-quality economic development.
