Deutsche Securities Inc. Designated As The First "TOPIX Options Liquidity Provider"

Date 03/06/2008

Tokyo Stock Exchange, Inc. (TSE) is pleased to announce that it has designated Deutsche Securities Inc. as the first "TOPIX Options Liquidity Provider".

In the past, Deutsche Securities Inc. has constantly offered bid and ask quotations for the TOPIX Options market, and they will continue to do so in the future as a Liquidity Provider.

Deutsche Securities Inc. is a member of the Deutsche bank group, established in 1870. The Deutsche bank group, which has approximately 1,800 offices in 75 countries, is a leading global provider of financial solutions. Deutsche Securities Inc. has made significant contributions to the improvement of the Japanese derivatives market, and has pledged to provide investors with highly transparent trading opportunities through more active participation in the listed derivatives market in the future.

The TSE expects that Deutsche Securities' active efforts as a Liquidity Provider will greatly contribute to liquidity in the TOPIX options market, creating more efficient asset management and hedging opportunities for Japanese and foreign institutional investors, as well as all other investors who invest in Japanese stocks using TOPIX as a benchmark.

The TSE introduced the TOPIX Options Liquidity Provider System on June 1st for the purpose of increasing liquidity in the TOPIX options market.
