Deutsche Börse Updates Weightings In Equity Indexes - Changes In The Indexes Effective March 18

Effective March 18, new weights will apply for the companies in Deutsche Börse's equity indexes. The exchange released the preliminary figures on Wednesday; the final figures, based on the Xetra closing prices from Friday, will be published at the Deutsche Börse Web site on Saturday.

In this connection, the exchange also called attention to the changes in the MDAX, NEMAX 50 and SDAX composition. These changes will also be implemented on March 18.

As previously reported, the following companies will be included in the MDAX: DIS Deutscher Industrie Service, Gerry Weber International and Indus Holding. They take the place of Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank, Deutz and DePfa Deutsche Pfandbriefbank in this index.

The companies to be included in the SDAX are: Arndt AG, Baader Wertpapierhandelsbank, Ehlebracht and STRATEC Biomedical Systems. They replace Bau-Verein zu Hamburg, Berentzen, Brau und Brunnen, B.U.S. Berzelius Umwelt-Service, Creaton, Hans Einhell, Heinkel, Herlitz, Kampa Haus, Möbel Walther and Walter AG, which are leaving the SMAX small-cap quality segment. DIS Deutscher Industrie Service, Gerry Weber International and Indus Holding are moving up from the SDAX into the MDAX.

In the NEMAX 50, Nordex, FJA and Funkwerk will replace Carrier 1, Heyde and Primacom.
