Deutsche Börse Updates Weighting In Equity Indices - Changes In Company Weights And Index Composition Become Effective September 24

As of Monday, September 24, new weights will apply for the companies in the Deutsche Börse equity indices. The exchange released the tentative figures on Wednesday; the final figures, based on the Xetra closing prices from Friday and the number of shares admitted to trading, will be published at the Deutsche Börse website on Saturday.

In this connection, the exchange also called attention to the changes in the MDAX, NEMAX 50 and SDAX composition as previously announced. These changes will also be implemented on September 24.

BERU, Fraport and Salzgitter will be newly added to the MDAX; these companies take the place of VCL Film+Medien, Porsche and SPAR Handels-AG in the index.

The following companies will be newly included in the SDAX: Hach, InnoTec TSS, Turbon, MATERNUS-Kliniken, VCL Film+Medien and WIGE MEDIA. These companies replace Adolf Ahlers, AHAG Wertpapierhandelsbank, Uzin Utz, MVV Energie, BERU and Salzgitter in this index.

New additions to the NEMAX 50 will be AT&S Austria Technologie & System, GPC Biotech and Suess MicroTec. Deutsche Börse is deleting Brokat, Kinowelt Medien and Telegate from this index.
