Deutsche Börse: Thomas Eichelmann To Become New CFO

Thomas Eichelmann has been appointed the next Chief Financial Officer of Deutsche Börse AG. The Supervisory Board of Deutsche Börse approved the contract of employment on Monday. Deutsche Börse will determine the date for Eichelmann’s appointment in consultation with his current employer Roland Berger Strategy Consultants.

Eichelmann (41) joined Roland Berger in 2000 as Partner and was appointed member of the worldwide executive board in 2003. He is currently responsible for the Financial Services competence center and human resources at Roland Berger and he established the firm’s private equity practice. His responsibilities include the UK as well as the firm’s offices in Munich and Frankfurt. During his tenure at Roland Berger, Eichelmann gathered extensive experience in Asia, where he successfully built the business in China and Japan, and in the U.S. Under Eichelmann’s leadership, the Financial Services competence center, which together with human resources issues formed the main focus of his consulting activities, developed into one of the largest and most profitable business areas at Roland Berger.

Before joining Roland Berger, Eichelmann worked as Senior Manager for Bain & Company in Munich. From 1994 to 1997 he worked as a consultant for the Boston Consulting Group in Frankfurt.
