Deutsche Börse: Supervisory Board Appoints Seifert Until The Year 2006

The chief executive officer of Deutsche Börse, Werner G. Seifert, whose appointment runs until July 31, 2001, will continue to manage the company after that date. After the Supervisory Board meeting on Monday, Deutsche Börse announced that the Board had reappointed Seifert as chief executive officer for five more years, until 2006. Seifert has managed the company since coming on board in 1993.

"The Supervisory Board also understands this vote as an expression of its undiminished confidence in continuing successful management by Werner G. Seifert," as Supervisory Board Chairman Dr. Rolf-E. Breuer emphasized.
