Preuss (49) has been Chief Operating Officer and Member of the Board of the Mako Group, London, since 2002. Mako is a leading trading group and one of the most significant market makers in exchange traded interest rate and index options on leading international derivatives exchanges, notably in Europe and the US. Preuss previously exercised a range of senior management positions with Deutsche Börse from 1990 to 2000, lastly as Member of Eurex Executive Management responsible for Business Development, Marketing and Sales. Preuss contributed greatly to the creation of Eurex’s predecessor, the Deutsche Terminbörse (DTB). He also played a significant role in the creation of Eurex and its subsequent development as the world’s largest derivatives exchange. Preuss enjoys an excellent reputation in the global derivatives markets, not least because of these success stories.
He was President of Trading Technologies International, Chicago, from 2000 to 2001.
Preuss is married with three children.
