Deutsche Börse Publishes New Composition Of The Equity Index DivDAX - Changes In DivDAX® Are Effective On 19 September

Date 08/09/2005

On Thursday, Deutsche Börse published the new composition of its strategy index DivDAX. These changes will be effective on 19 September. Deutsche Telekom, Luft-hansa and Münchener Rück will be included in the DivDAX index, replacing Henkel, Linde und Schering.

The strategy index DivDAX reflects the performance of the 15 DAX® companies with the highest dividend yields. The dividend yield is calculated by dividing the dividend payment by the last price of the trading day previous to the payout. The composition of the DivDAX index is adjusted once a year, in September, based on the dividend payment in spring. The next review of the DivDAX index is scheduled for September 2006.

The strategy index DivDAX is part of Deutsche Börse’s index family. The most prominent index is the equity index DAX. Deutsche Börse calculated and published DAX for the first time on July 1, 1988. Since then the company has continuously developed the index and has created an attractive underlying instrument for structured financial products.
