"The new service we are offering will expand our product portfolio to include intelligent analysis instruments for securities trading," said Christoph Lammersdorf, member of the Executive Board of Deutsche Börse AG. The Information Products Division of Deutsche Börse wants to establish its position as the leading provider of high-quality exchange-trading and market statistics as well as analysis tools.
The new application is designed in particular with a focus on asset managers, Controlling and Risk Management staff, Research & Analysis staff and Investor Relations departments of banks and financial service providers. Deutsche Börse will be offering its customers this new service as of September 16.
The first application based on the StatistiX data warehouse will be a so-called "StatistiX Info Cube Ranking". The Info Cube Ranking is an interactive database solution for the analysis of securities trading flows. It contains all trading volumes for a given market participant and - in anonymized form - the trading volumes of all market participants, down to the individual securities level and daily basis. The database includes the flow of data on trading volumes from Xetra and the floor of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FWB Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse). With this application, market participants can see their trading activity in the trading of equities, warrants and bonds in relation to the market as a whole, and can thus draw conclusions about their own trading behavior. Deutsche Börse will make further analysis products available, step by step, in addition to the Info Cube Ranking.
The StatistiX data warehouse bundles trading information from a variety of exchange-trading marketplaces and systems and consolidates these data in a central database. Deutsche Börse then makes use of this database to develop flexible, efficient information products and analysis tools to support the participants in trading on the exchange with useful evaluations. The scope of the data in the StatistiX data warehouse will be continually extended to include new data sources.
