Date 11/06/2007

Deutsche Börse is hosting the NanoEquity Europe 2007 conference on 11 and 12 June. Europe's most important forum for companies and investors from the high-tech engineering sector, in particular nano and microtechnology, is to be held in Frankfurt for the third time.

The conference was opened on Monday by keynote speaker Dr. Alois Rhiel, Minister of Economic Affairs for the state of Hesse. "NanoEquity Europe is now the leading European event on the subject of capital market and equity raising for companies from all areas of nano- and microtechnology," said Rhiel in Frankfurt on Monday. "The forum unites companies with the capital market at an international level, it aids the transfer of expertise, thereby promoting the long overdue private investment in these vital technologies of the future."

The focal points of NanoEquity Europe are the current developments in science and research, and capital market issues. The international forum is aimed equally at listed and non-listed companies, and investors and financial service providers. Some 30 companies will be presenting their innovative business models and gaining information on public equity financing; participants hail from countries including Israel, Canada, Austria and the USA. There will also be lectures, workshops and panel discussions.

"Following the positive response to last year's NanoEquity Europe, we look forward to providing a platform for investors and companies to exchange knowledge of science and the capital market again with this international forum," said Rainer Riess, Managing Director Stock Market Business Development at Deutsche Börse.

NanoEquity Europe 2007 is supported by the following sponsors: Commerzbank AG, Dechema e.V., equinet AG, the Ministry of Economic Affairs for Hesse/ Aktionslinie hessen-nanotech, Nanostart AG, VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH and Steubing AG.
