Deutsche Börse Enhances The Status Of Its Internet Services. Internet Resources Tailored Even More Closely To Target-Group Needs. Neuermarkt. Com To Be Integrated In The Deutsche Börse Web Site

Date 22/11/2001

Deutsche Börse AG wants to upgrade the Internet as a central interface to its customers and as a channel for the support of sales/distribution and customer access. As the company reported on Thursday, it will restructure its Internet services and specifically tailor them to meet the needs of the four customer groups, trading participants, private and institutional investors, issuers and data vendors. The resources needed for this on the Internet theme will be pooled in a section of the Corporate Center, which functions as a service-provider for the individual Business Units. On the whole, Deutsche Börse aims to enhance the efficiency of Internet use and maximize synergies. The Web sites of Deutsche Börse are among the most actively used corporate Web sites in Germany today and register approximately 16 million page impressions per month.

Deutsche Börse already took the first step in its new Internet strategy with its new "Listing Center" at the beginning of October. The Listing Center serves companies, Corporate Finance departments of banks as well as IPO consultants and lead managers as a central, uniform and transparent communications and E-processing interface, and offers comprehensive information about the IPO process.

In another step, Deutsche Börse will expand its information resources targeted to private investors. To do this, major contents of the investment portal neuermarkt.com will be integrated into the Deutsche Börse Web site (www.deutsche-boerse.com). This is where price data, indices, market reports, news, analyses, commentary, sample portfolios and a training center will be offered and, via the Corporate Data Online interface, company data from the source, such as company profiles, information about company management and shareholder structures. After the content migration, which is to be completed this year, neuermarkt.com as an independent Web site will be discontinued. Private investors will then find detailed information on the fully integrated portal of Deutsche Börse.

In the course of next year, the new content structure is to be developed further and, after an entirely new relaunch, will also be reflected in the optical appearance of Deutsche Börse's Internet pages.
