Deutsche Börse will onward vend the real time data to its own clients, which include both end users and quote vendors. The data supplied by EuroMTS to Deutsche Börse will include best bid/offer prices along with aggregated sizes on quotes and trades.
Commenting on the agreement, Christoph Lammersdorf, Executive Board Member of Deutsche Börse and responsible for the Division Information Products said: "This co-operation with EuroMTS strengthens our commitment both to forming strategic partnerships with first rate data providers such as EuroMTS, as well as enhancing our portfolio of fixed income services, initiated by the launch of the Box product family. The agreement with EuroMTS further develops the Information Products division of Deutsche Börse in the light of the Euroboard concept and builds on our expertise as a neutral provider of information products."
Gianluca Garbi, EuroMTS Chief Executive Officer, said " We are very pleased to be entering into this agreement with Deutsche Börse. Deutsche Börse is the ideal partner for the distribution of our market data and we look forward to working with them in order to develop a benchmark price source for the European fixed income markets."
The data will be distributed via the new real time price interface of Deutsche Börse, the Consolidated Exchange Feed (CEF), which will go live in July. CEF integrates the existing data feeds for the cash market of Deutsche Börse with the derivatives market of Eurex and allows for the flexible integration of additional data sources, such as EuroMTS. Via data vendors, Deutsche Börse distributes market data to more than 200.000 terminals worldwide in more than 90 countries.
