This year’s 7th Global ETF Awards® in New York saw Deutsche Börse receive awards in the following categories for the seventh consecutive time: “Exchange with the largest number of primary listed ETFs in Europe”, “Largest ETF Exchange by Dollar Turnover in Europe” and “Most Proactive ETF Exchange in Europe”.
The “Annual Global ETF Awards” are hosted by exchangetradedfunds.com – an information provider based in New York which specialises in exchange traded funds, exchange traded commodities and exchange traded notes. The awards were presented for outstanding success in the ETF, ETC and ETN industry. The winners were selected on the basis of votes cast by more than 480 market participants in the global financial industry, and by using statistics.
Xetra® is Europe’s largest trading venue for exchange traded funds with an average monthly trading volume of over €13 billion. Out of 19 issuers, its product offering is the largest in Europe, currently with 789 ETF listings. In Germany, around 96 percent of the on-exchange turnover in ETFs is processed via Deutsche Börse: 94 percent goes through Xetra, while 2 percent is handled by the trading floor of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
